Non-Weapon Proficiencies
A character's starting non-weapon proficiencies (start nwp) are determined by his class. The base scores of the non-weapon proficiencies chosing at character creation are 16, unless the base score based on the stat is higher (for example, an arm wrestler with 18 strength). Any character can gain additional Non Weapon Proficiencies by simply learning them in the game in a realistic time frame. Perhaps it will take a day for someone to learn firebuilding, but months to learn blacksmithing. The base score for all skills is based on their base stat.
