Weapon Proficiencies Weapon Proficiencies starting and gained are based on class. Gained WP refers to the levels divisble by that number at which new weapon proficiency slots become available. In the following table, bonuses are not cumulative, only Fighters, Barbarians, Ronin, and Magii may be high mastered and higher. Each level of mastery costs one slot, and is cumulative with the slot before it. Warrior classes can multi-master; all other classes can multi-specialize.
Here is the amount of time it takes character's to learn weapon proficiences, without a teacher. All times are in weeks. A "-" indicates that the character's intelligence is too low to spend a weapon slot to acheive that level of mastery.
Under some circumstances, PCs or NPCs may wish to train other PCs or NPCs in advanced weapon usage. Utilize the following table to figure out the amount of time it takes. The times are based on the teacher's level of mastery, not the student's intelligence. A "-" indicates that the teacher may not teach that level of mastery. A proficient person, for example, may never teach another person to be grand mastered.
