FAQ

What is Lord Amirlust's AD&D Collective?

This is a collection of house rules and rules taken from a ton of second edition official resources and web resources for the AD&D 2nd Edition Role Playing Game by TSR (now owned by Wizard's of the Coast). The idea behind the Collective is to organize my own rules and the rules spread across TSR released books and web resources.

How did I get here?

Sources of Inspiration

Were those sources used with permission?

Not in most cases, but I have copiously cited all ideas that I have taken from other sources. For a full list of citations for the images used on this site, please check here.

How can I obtain those official sources?

You can either spend hundreds of dollars buying them (and they are hard to come by), or you can search for the book titles in Google and you will likely find full online transcriptions of the books.

Why 2nd Edition? Why not 3rd Edition?

I grew up on 2nd Edition and I don't really like 3rd Edition all that much (though I am sure these pages could be much improved if I wanted to purchase the core rulebooks and scavenge them for ideas). I don't think 3rd Edition has the same spirit or vitality of 2nd Edition.
